The Solve Healthcare Vault is a proprietary, highly sophisticated backup system that doesn’t just backup your data, it allows you to quickly restore an entire environment in the event of a hardware failure or natural disaster. This fully-managed backup solution provides verified local and remote images of your servers and workstations that can be quickly and easily restored to new equipment or hosted virtually in our secure data centers.

Onsite Backup

Our onsite platform consists of the following components:

Offsite Backup

Our offsite systems are designed to communicate with the Solve Healthcare Vault software. Each day, only files and information that change are securely transmitted to our data centers. Our software is smart enough to throttle bandwidth based on Internet usage so your end-users don’t experience slow upload speeds. The end-to-end remote backup uses the following configuration:

  • Automatic scanning and retrieval of new/changed data
  • Encryption during transmission and at rest
  • Clients can elect to schedule remote backup cycles during after hours
  • Administrators can elect to receive backup confirmation reports

Here is a brief explanation of how the Solve Healthcare Vault works. It’s quite simple, actually.

Process

  • Step 1: We install client software on each server/workstation, which can take up to 50 snapshots per day.
  • Step 2: Backup images are first created on the NAS and then replicated to a local Failover Server.
  • Step 3: The software verifies all backup images and reports any errors to our Support Team.
  • Step 4: Our software securely pushes the data to our remote servers and notifies our Support Team.
  • Step 5: The client monitor checks the status of each device, so we know right away if something goes down.

Solve Healthcare utilizes 15 global points of presence and operates out of many worldwide locations including United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and South Africa. Each data center is equipped with:

Overview

As defined by 45 CFR §164.312 of HIPAA’s Technical Safeguards, Solve Healthcare Vault assists healthcare providers to be HIPAA compliant in the following ways:

  • Solve Healthcare, in all cases, creates, receives and transmits only encrypted data. We use a three-tiered AES encryption system which encrypts data on the user’s computer, again in transit and finally when at rest in storage at our datacenters.
  • This data cannot be read while in transit, or even on Solve Healthcare’s servers, (provided the user/health care provider does not compromise the password).
  • Solve Healthcare’s servers are located in a SAS 70 II datacenters protected by gated access, 24 x 7 x 365 on-site staffed security and technicians, electronic card key access, and strategically placed security cameras both inside and outside the building.
  • Solve Healthcare Vault is an automated offsite backup and protects data against hardware malfunction, accidental deletion, virus attacks, theft and natural disasters.
  • Solve Healthcare Vault allows the user (health care provider) to store their data securely such that no one – including Solve Healthcare engineers will be able to access their data.

In the event of a disaster, Solve Healthcare is front and center to bring your business back online. We offer 24/7 monitoring to all clients with an active subscription to the Solve Healthcare Vault solution. Clients with active Maintenance Agreements benefit from enhanced, onsite services during a crisis.

Monitoring

  • Outages: Unlike other backup solutions, our system is constantly checking on the availability of servers and workstations. The software is smart enough to differentiate between a simple power outage or restart and a hardware failure.
  • Auditing: Our system verifies each and every file that is created in a backup set. Errors are immediately reported to and resolved by our Support Team.
  • Internet: Clients may experience Internet outages at their place of business. This may disrupt a remote backup job in progress. The automated system will alert our remote servers and pick up right where it left off.
  • Tampering: Each Failover Server is equipped with anti-tampering software to prevent unauthorized access or theft of data. This software is constantly reporting to our Support Team.

Support

  • Our Support Team is on-call 24/7 to begin restoring impacted environments. We provide onsite and offsite support to clients and have access to all local and remote data.
  • Clients can elect to receive backup verification summaries of local and remote jobs.
  • We provide chat, eMail and live support for clients with general inquiries about our system.

Data Centers

Solve Healthcare is committed to the highest level of security available. Our primary facilities are tier III and tier IV grade security, which is U.S. military-grade. The target reliability of each of these data centers is 99.9 -99.99%.
